Overview
The Master of Business Administration Dissertation phase is where students may achieve their final 60 credits by completing a dissertation for the MBA (Masters Stage) programme offered by the University of Gloucestershire, and delivered by our strategic partner IDM.
This stage of qualification is for those who already hold a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership.
The MBA (Masters Stage) programme consists of three compulsory units; Dissertation proposal (1500 words), Dissertation (15,000 words), and a reflection paper (1500 words) worth 60 credits. This stage is designed to make a major contribution towards a student’s professional development, providing the opportunity to examine an area of particular interest within an organisational context.
Entry Requirements
For entry onto the Dissertation for MBA (Masters Stage) programme, students must have a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership or an equivalent RQF Level 7 qualification.
Qualification Structure
The MBA (Masters Stage) Dissertation comprises three compulsory units:
- Dissertation Proposal (1500 words)
- Dissertation (15,000 words)
- Reflection Paper (1500 words)
Total: 60 Credits | 600 Total Qualification Time (TQT) | 300 Guided Learning Hours (GLH)
Duration and Delivery
The qualification is designed to be delivered over six months on average for full-time study, but is also flexible to accommodate part-time and distance learning.
Delivery is provided through face-to-face sessions, live Zoom interactive lectures, tutorials, and seminars.
Assessment, Verification and Award
This qualification is awarded by the University of Gloucestershire.
All units are internally assessed by the university’s delivery partner IDM and externally verified by the University of Gloucestershire. Assessment is criterion-referenced and based on achievement of all specified learning outcomes.
To achieve a pass, students must provide evidence demonstrating full fulfilment of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria. Judgement is made by the assessor.
Progression
Successful completion of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) qualification enables graduates to progress within employment and also pursue PhD or DBA programmes at many universities in the UK and overseas.
